TORRENTIAL rain on the Tweed overnight has caused many roads to flood.

According to the Tweed Shire Council's emergency dashboard these roads were observed as being closed and needing caution at 1.30pm today.

Clothiers Creek Rd East of the M1 - water over the road near Watty Bishop Rd

Cobaki Rd Piggabeen - water over the road, do not cross

Crabbes Creek Rd - water over the road

Ducat St - water over road, do not cross

Eviron Rd - water over road, do not cross

Hogans Rd - water over road about 200m south of Gumbleton Rd

Fraser Dr- water over road, do not cross

Pottsville Road - Flood event, do not drive through flood waters, near Cudgen Creek and the rail crossing at Mooball, use caution as floods may be flooded or have hazards like fallen trees or land slips.

Stokers Road - road flooded, do not cross

Leisure and Darlington Dr, Banora Point- left hand side of roundabout is closed (south-western corner) and will remain closed for several days due to sewer manhole collapse undermining the road

Nobbys Creek Rd- water over the road, just turn off to Blackwoods Rd, do not cross

Peninsula St - water voer road

Recreation St - water over road opposite police station, drive carefully, do not cross flooded roads

Rosewood Ave, Bogangar - water over road

Round Mountain Rd - water over road, do not cross

Stokers Rd - road flooded, do not cross

Urlip Rd- road closed due to water

Wooyung Rd- water over road

Tom Merchant Drive - water over road, do not cross

Tweed Valley Way - road closed both directions

Dulguigan Rd - Water encroaching road, drive with caution
