Emails pose new twist in headless torso case

FRIENDS and family of Sunshine Coast murder victim George Gerbic  may have received emails from the dead man's account, during the period police believed his remains were dumped and set alight near Gympie.

A News Corp report suggests the emails suggested there was nothing amiss, helping to explain why loved-ones were not concerned for his safety despite missing for 10 months.

The report does not reveal the detail of the email missives.

Lindy Yvonne Williams, 56, has now been charged with Mr Gerbic's murder and dismemberment, although a court date is yet to be set.

Williams lived with Mr Gerbic at his Tanawha home.

Authorities only identified his remains after visiting the property following an investigation into patients using the same hypertension medication found in the torso.
